  23.             CARL provides online access to  the  catalogs  of  libraries
  24.             throughout  Colorado.   Access is also provided to some sta-
  25.             tistical profile databases and to UnCover, CARL's  guide  to
  26.             the current contents in over 10,000 journals and magazines.

  30.             telnet  access  only  via  nike.cair.du.edu  (130.253.1.14).
  31.             Login  as  carl  (note: carl should be entered in lower case
  32.             letters).

  34.             Network access is currently provided by  a  gateway  at  the
  35.             University of Denver.  The original connection was developed
  36.             as a joint demonstration project of  Colorado  SuperNet  and
  37.             CARL.   CSN  and  CARL are jointly funding a full connection
  38.             between CSN and CARL.  The upgrade, planned for  the  summer
  39.             of '89 should greatly improve reliability and accessability.

  43.             There are currently no restrictions on any access except for
  44.             the  UnCover  database  (special arrangements to use UnCover
  45.             may be made by contacting CARL).
